BO – H1N1

Do people smell or are aware that they smell? While not frequent occurring, when you are around people with BO, it’s really repulsive.

For whatever reasons, I had 2 encounters within 2 days. Just two day ago, to free my wife from the need to cook, I decided that we could go to the Mall in the West for lunch. What hit me was totally unexpected! Hoping to smell some delicious aroma, what I got was the smell of an Indian! ( I am definitely not race biased but It’s the most direct description of the smell). The smell associated with their hair. While I always admire Indian ladies with their long luscious hair and I totally abhor the smell.

A quick glance around to find the culprit, I found 5 groups of families of mothers and children within the foodcourt. I have never seen so many (or rather any) Indians here. The culprit was a newly open Indian food stall.

Anyway, they don’t they know that their aroma can be repulsive? Imagine taking the lift or the train with them. I will be suffocated. Talking about the train, that’s the second incident.

Again, to minimized cooking at home, we decided to go downtown. And since road closure was expected for the NDP, we took the train. Everything was nice and fine till Tiong Bahru. Up came 3 PRCs in their work attire. I really do not know they last wash their uniform! It just made me regretting not driving.

I look around to see how others responded to the intrusion and found the way to minimize the spread of H1N1 or any airborne virus. Everyone was controlling their breadth!!
